"He couched as a lion… who shall rouse him up?" —
Using the exhibit's civil-date endpoints, the 2026 solar passage from Regulus — , Aug 22–23 — to Zavijava, Sept 20–21, spans . Read in ephemeris order, stations along that path can be set beside the command-order in : loins girded, lights burning, and servants who wait for their lord. The dates and geometry are checkable; identifying that sequence with the parable is CONVICTION, not proof that Scripture encoded an astronomical schedule. The governing devotional reading comes from the third adjuration: "stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please" (). The 29 days are offered as a watch, not a prediction.
gives a zoology, a posture, and a question. The zoology: . The posture: "he stooped down, he couched." The question: Balaam repeats the couched-lion oracle in . Revelation later names Christ "the Lion of the tribe of Juda" (), while Genesis 49:10 joins Judah to the sceptre and gathering. Regulus's traditional royal names and its position near the ecliptic provide the astronomical data; identifying it as the blessing's sceptre at the Lion's heart is SCAFFOLD. The lion, roar, and Zion texts (; ; ) form a canonical constellation, but they do not name Regulus. SPINE texts and coordinates · CONVICTION synthesis
The charge appears 3 times over the daughters of Jerusalem (; 3:5; 8:4), and . The next verse says, "I raised thee up under the apple tree" (), using . The repeated root and sequence are textual data. The identity of the speaker in 8:5 is disputed; this exhibit's reading that the Beloved performs the reserved awakening is CONVICTION. Psalm 78:65 portrays the Lord awakening as one out of sleep, while Psalm 121:4 says Israel's Keeper neither slumbers nor sleeps. Held together devotionally, the images distinguish apparent delay from neglect; they do not establish a date.
Here is the watchman's paradox, and this exhibit's charge in 1 sentence: you are commanded to wake the house, and forbidden to wake the Lion. The midnight cry () is aimed at sleeping virgins, never at the Bridegroom; the bark is for the household, the roar is his alone (). Every date-setter's error is a category error between those 2 wakings — hands on the Lion instead of a voice in the house. The 29 days are a watch, not a fuse. SPINE texts · CONVICTION the paradox

| Day 20 · Sept 11 | The Dawn Line. In the Jerusalem model used here, Zosma, Chertan, the sun, the near-new moon, and minor planet lie near the rising ecliptic. Because the sun, moon, planets, and most main-belt asteroids normally remain near the ecliptic, the geometry should not be treated as exceptional without angular measurements. The 2026 model places near the sun during the dawn-line interval. Its name, assigned after its 1856 discovery, is the Latin noun for joy or gladness. The Vulgate uses that noun in Psalm 29:6 (KJV ), ad matutinum laetitia—“joy cometh in the morning”; in Psalm 15:11 (KJV ), laetitia cum vultu tuo—joy in God's presence; and in Psalm 44:8 (KJV ), oleo laetitiae—the oil of gladness. These lexical correspondences are direct. Applying them to an asteroid named in modern Paris is LATER and CONVICTION.
In the bundled KJV corpus, “joy” and “morning” occur together in exactly 2 verses: the promise to the weeper in and the morning stars' song in . The pairing makes Laetitia a meaningful later echo for this exhibit, but it does not make the asteroid Job's intended referent or prove that orbital mechanics “executed” the psalm. Likewise, Roman LAETITIA coin imagery and the anchor of may be set beside one another typologically; they are not a historical chain of interpretation.
The countdown begins in Leo and ends in a Jerusalem model beside a city that has a Lion's Gate of its own: . Israeli paratroopers entered the Old City through it on June 7, 1967. Nearby, the Golden Gate remains sealed; supplies the exhibit's scriptural resonance. The gates and the dated event are WITNESS; reading them as “dated stone answering dated sky” is CONVICTION.
| First step | How, exactly |
|---|---|
| Walk the track by eye | Any clear evening or in Stellarium: find the Sickle, Regulus at its foot; trace the couched figure to Denebola; then the bend of the Barker's stars into the Virgin. Learn the 29-day road once and you own it every year after — the months were kept by watchers, and can be again. |
| Pray the countdown's own text | Luke 12:35–40, daily, for the length of the track — 1 chapter-passage, 29 mornings. Let the 3 commands land in station-order: loins, lamps, watch. |
| Gird before you burn | The sky puts the Girdle 16 days before the Lamps. So does the Lord's sentence. Deal with the ungirded thing — the loose end, the unconfessed weight — in the first half of the month, so the lamp-half finds you ready (). |
| Wake the house, not the Lion | Tell the sleeping household plainly what hour the dial reads — once, kindly, as a bark and not a harangue. And refuse every scheme that lays hands on the Lion: no forcing, no date-decrees, no "helping" the end (). The adjuration is still in force until He pleases — and His pleasing needs no assistance. |
| Keep the hidden company's post | The dark moon keeps station unseen at mid-track. If your watch is invisible — unnoticed prayer, unthanked service — you are not off the map; you are the day-20 station. "I sleep, but my heart waketh" (). |
