Venus keeps a clock. Its misses the 8-year rhythm by 2.4 days — that slow slip turns — but 1,251 rounds of Venus equal 2,000 to within 1.3 days. Whatever Venus was doing on a given day, it does again on that day's 2,000th anniversary; and because 1,000 years is a half-integer of rounds — 625.5 — at the 1,000th anniversary the star stands at its own opposite. Same at 2,000; inverted at 1,000. That is computable, checkable, and not this house's invention.
This exhibit keys that clock to 2 dates on one mountain, and the dates are argued elsewhere, not here. The first: the summit of Hermon on the Day of Atonement, Oct 16, 24 CE — day 40 of the fast, the tempter dismissed on the height, "angels came and ministered" (, ) — from which he came down in 5 days to a wedding at Cana on Sukkot. The second: the same massif at Sukkot 2 years on, Oct 29, 26 CE, when "his face did shine as the sun" (; Peter: "we were with him in the holy mount," ), dated in The Case for 7 BCE → 27 CE. Two visits, one mountain, both in Tishrei — Kippur then Sukkot, the fast then the feast. The clock is read at +1,000 and +2,000 from each.

: the Watchers chose its summit for their oath, and the mountain's very name — from cherem, the ban — remembers the swearing. The Psalter knows the range as contested ground: "the hill of God is as the hill of Bashan… why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in… the chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels" (), and the same psalm gives the outcome — "thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive" ().

1,251 × 583.9214 days = 730,485.7 days. 2,000 × 365.2422 days = 730,484.4 days. Difference: 1.3 days in 2,000 years. No other round number of years comes close: at 500 years the clock is a quarter-turn off; at 1,000 it is exactly half — 625.5 rounds — which is why the millennium anniversaries invert (evening ↔ morning, birth ↔ clothing) and the two-millennium anniversaries repeat. The 8-year rose meanwhile turns about 2.5° per cycle, one revolution in roughly 1,150–1,200 years — so across the 2,000 the stellar backdrop shifts 28°: the Scales of 26 CE become the Virgin-by-Spica of 2026. Every figure here is from the public ephemerides (PyEphem 4.2.1); the two ancient anchors carry ±a day of model uncertainty and nothing in the exhibit leans harder than that.

The transfiguration is the only hour in the ministry when the promise of is shown in a body: "his face did shine as the sun" (). The same promise is handed on — "then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun" (), graded in star-glories at the resurrection (), sealed with the gift of the morning star itself (), commanded in Isaiah's imperative: "Arise, shine; for thy light is come" (). On this house's reading the 2,000th anniversaries are not commemorations but the schedule: the mountain's shining was the earnest of the many's, and the clock that kept the mountain's dates has come back around to strike them.
