The Season of Satan's End-Game
2020–2023

Begin where the season's strangeness is deepest and least disputed. Within roughly one hundred and forty days, the circumambulation of the Kaaba stopped, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall were restricted, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre closed for the first time since the Black Death, the successor of Peter blessed an empty square in the rain, the three faiths' high feasts passed under lockdown, the Hajj was suspended to international pilgrims for the first time in the modern Kingdom's history — and Hagia Sophia changed hands. No century of the season produced a spring like it; the sanctuaries of the Abrahamic world went quiet together, under one cause, on one calendar.

File the pattern against the record's precedents: the removal of the tamid — the daily, the continual — is Daniel's own marked event (Dan 8:11; 11:31; 12:11), the interruption of standing worship as a prophetic clock-hand. This exhibit does not claim the clause landed here; the 1981 exhibit carries that count's anchors honestly elsewhere. What is claimed, at WITNESS, is the shape: for one season, the continual of three faiths — the daily prayers at the Wall, the perpetual circuit of the Kaaba, the unbroken vigil at the Tomb — was altered at once. Watchers of every tradition read their own clock by it; Movement V documents that convergence.

Now the asymmetry, documented from its own records. In the very months the churches, mosques, and synagogues were closed as gatherings too dangerous to permit, the largest street mobilization of the era filled hundreds of cities — and the era's institutions did not merely tolerate the exception; they joined it, ritually. The elements of a liturgy assembled in weeks: a martyr; a creed recited under pressure; a posture performed in public (the knee, bent on command, by legislators in ceremonial cloth, by police, by soldiers, by crowds); a day of coordinated observance (the black square); and a shunning mechanism for the visibly non-compliant, with documented professional consequences. The author's reading — that the world was made to bow at an altar — is carried at CONVICTION; the compulsory-gesture phenomenon itself, and the sanction for abstention, are WITNESS, on the record of the season's own press.

And measure the scale honestly, because the scale is the argument. By the era's own registrars: the largest protests in United States history — 15 to 26 million participants, 4,700+ demonstrations at a daily average of 140, reaching over 40% of all U.S. counties, half a million people in 550 places on a single June Saturday; solidarity marches in 93 countries and territories on every inhabited continent; the security response itself the largest military operation other than war in American history — 96,000+ Guard and active-duty personnel across 30+ states, 200 cities under curfew; the damage the costliest civil disorder in American history at over $2 billion insured across 140 cities; the largest and fastest-growing petition in the petition platform's history at twenty million signatures; an academic world that shut itself down for a day of reflection (#ShutDownSTEM, June 10 — Nature, MIT, the American Physical Society); fifteen of the twenty bestselling books in the country on one subject by mid-June. No death of a private person — and no state funeral of any monarch or president — has ever produced synchronized worldwide observance on this scale. The post-9/11 solidarity wave was governments declaring and crowds holding vigil; this was populations performing in unison, on no government's command, within a fortnight. And the era described itself in liturgical vocabulary without prompting: an "awakening," a "reckoning," a "world-historical moment" — revival language, applied by secular institutions to a secular devotion, while the revival-holding buildings stood closed by order.

The exhibit's dating discipline earns its keep here, because the popular memory has the pandemic beginning at the conjunction; it did not — the plague was a year old by the solstice. What the conjunction fortnight actually held was the rollout: the first injections of the mass campaign entered arms in the same thirteen days the sky staged its closest observable planetary meeting in eight centuries, marketed simultaneously as the Christmas Star to one audience and the dawn of Aquarius to another. Whatever one makes of it, the record stands: the era's defining intervention began under the era's most-watched sky, and both watching camps declared the sign their own.

The year opens with the Capitol breached and closes with public life gated on a certificate. In between, the operation that built the doses is retired and the machinery of compulsion is assembled at a speed no prior public program approached: passes conditioning entry to stores, restaurants, events, and travel; employment mandates reaching tens of millions; the certificate fusing the Inducement, Observation, and Adjudication wings of the companion exhibit (The Builders of the Designed Polarity, on this site) into one document — a working prototype of enrollment as the precondition of economic existence, run at population scale, for a product under emergency authorization. The prototype was dismantled; that it ran is on the ledger.

Now stand back and let the season's full pattern declare itself, because this is the reading the retitled exhibit exists to file. First the assemblies of the faiths were dispersed — the continual interrupted, the feasts locked, the pilgrimages suspended, the doors barred by order (Movement I). Then, in the emptied space, two borderless communions were raised in sequence: a communion of shared grief, kneeling in ninety-three countries within a fortnight (Movement II), and a communion of shared joy, gathering — by FIFA's own count — most of the living in Doha — convened, with no apparent irony, under a sermon on mankind as one tribe. The order of operations is the tell this house reads at CONVICTION: disperse the worship, then supply the substitute — grief-communion and joy-communion, each achieving in days the trans-border unity no faith was permitted to assemble for, each organized around a man (a victim, a trophy) rather than the Lamb. Babel's project restated in the season's own vocabulary: one tribe, one name, lest we be scattered (Gen 11:4). The WITNESS layer underneath is untouched by the reading: the dispersal is dated, the communions are dated, and the sequence is on the ledger for any reader to audit against any other explanation they prefer.

Here is the phenomenon this exhibit exists to file. Across the same eighteen months, five incompatible eschatologies converged their watch on the same window — each reading the events as confirmation of its own script, each with dated receipts. The convergence itself is WITNESS-tier regardless of which reading was right: the watchtowers of every tradition were manned at once, something no participant coordinated and no single camp can explain from inside its own frame.

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

A correction of this exhibit's own first draft, stated openly: this house does not run 2 Thessalonians 2 over this season. On this site's chronology the restrainer of that letter was removed in the first century — 63 CE in this house's reckoning — and the man of sin was revealed within the generation the letter addressed (argued in The Woman and the Beast, a companion exhibit on this site). The provision that governs every later assault is not a single office that could be used up; it is the standing counter-measure promise of Isaiah 59:19: whenever the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit lifts up a standard against him — a response clause, renewed per assault, with no expiry written into it.

And the standard, in the record, is characteristically raised through the righteous. Ten just men would have stayed the fire on Sodom — Abraham's auction with heaven (Gen 18:23–32) establishes that the presence of the righteous is a city's restraint. "Ye are the salt of the earth" (Matt 5:13) names the saints a preservative. The keys were handed over in so many words: "whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven" (Matt 16:19; 18:18). The four winds are held until the servants are sealed (Rev 7:1–3). From these the house's frame follows, at CONVICTION: through the kingdom span, the sealed company and the Body of Christ carried restraining capacity by faith — sufficient faith, sufficient restraint — which is why the question of the ages is phrased exactly as it is: "when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8). Read it as the probate question. "The heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant… but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father" (Gal 4:1–2) — two verses that contain the entire apparatus of the companion exhibits: the season of tutors and governors, run to an appointed date. The adversary's end-game, on this reading, was never to win the estate — that was settled at the cross — but to prove, at probate's conclusion, that zero eligible heirs remained: Job's hearing scaled to the world, the accuser contesting every qualification. The play failed. "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth" (Matt 5:5) — and it is this house's held position that the meek already have.

Now re-read the empty stage in that light. The stage, by the ledger above, stood fully dressed: sanctuaries dark, expectation converged from five directions, populations conditioned to synchronized compliance, the exclusion machinery live, every watchtower straining for a sign. If ever a season was staged for a counterfeit wonder — an “act of God” manufactured for a pre-primed audience — it was this one. And nothing fired. The author holds that something was prepared and not completed; that attribution is CONVICTION and fenced as such — no operator named, no mechanism claimed. What stands at the pattern level is Isaiah 59:19 doing what it says: the flood came in, and the standard rose. And in this house's chronology the season since has changed administrators: the serpent is already in the lake of fire, the principalities judged — so the tests of the present interregnum are administered by God Himself, who proves and does not tempt (He proved Abraham, Gen 22:1; led Israel forty years to prove them, Deut 8:2; tempts no man to evil, Jas 1:13). The interregnum is probate's transitional season: the previously defiant, and the serpent's former conscripts, given space and free will to repent before the judgment of the living (Rev 21:8) — while the dead already stand in session at the Great White Throne, a judgment this house holds to be actively under way (argued and fenced in The Furnace of God, a companion exhibit on this site). Which inverts the end-game precisely: the accuser labored to prove the heir-roll empty; the Administrator now holds the roll open, adding names — and the only way left to lose the inheritance is to decline it.

Run the count with the discipline of the house. Day zero: March 11, 2020, the pandemic declared. One thousand two hundred and sixty days — the record's own great half-week figure (Rev 11:3; 12:6; Dan 7:25's time, times, and half a time) — lands on August 23, 2023. And the storm, by its own registrars, ended inside the span: the WHO declared the global health emergency over on May 5, 2023 — day 1,150 of the count — and the U.S. emergency ended May 11, day 1,156. By day 1,260 the formal storm was, on paper, past. The exhibit files the fit as it is: the endpoints are the registrars' dates, not the author's; the 1,260 figure is the text's; the alignment is consistent-with, never proven-by, and the count is a shape observed after the fact, not a prediction registered before it — the honesty distinction that 1981 — The Year the Run Was Tooled (this site's companion exhibit) exists to enforce with its pre-registration card.

…Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: and if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

The season's own summary, on this house's reading: the sanctuaries were closed and the faith did not die — it met in parking lots and living rooms and learned that the Presence was never confined to the buildings (Acts 7:48; John 4:21–24). A compulsory liturgy demonstrated how fast a world can be taught to kneel — and thereby measured, for anyone watching, exactly what the real thing will look like and how few will stand (Dan 3 remains the type: the music plays, all fall down, and the count of those left standing is taken). The exclusion prototype ran and was dismantled, leaving the season's participants without excuse about what the terminal architecture (Rev 13:16–17) requires and how ordinary its arrival will feel. Five watchtowers proved the watch itself is universal — the residual memory of an appointment is written into every tradition — while the discriminator stays where it has always been: which watchers await the Lamb that was slain (1 John 4:2–3). And the empty stage proved the standard still rises (Isa 59:19): the season most primed for a lying wonder produced none, and the times and the seasons remain in the Father's hand (Acts 1:7). So the orders are the ones the fig tree received: the ground has been dug and dunged; the Vinedresser has pleaded his year; the watch has converged, and the certificate that matters is not carried on a phone (Luke 10:20). Bear fruit now, watch with your lamp filled (Matt 25:1–13), and fear no stagecraft — the sign that ends the play will need no marketing, for as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (Matt 24:27).
