What this exhibit holds
Vengeance is not something God does so much as something God OWNS: 'to me belongeth vengeance, and recompence.' The exposition of 'I will repay' has 3 clauses. First, the title is exclusive — which is why the saints are commanded to feed their enemies: the case is not theirs to prosecute. Second, the delay is not slowness but intentional kindness — 'longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish'; the goodness of God leading to repentance; the LORD waiting THAT he may be gracious. Third, the execution needs no logistics — 'he spake, and it was done'; man plans because man is weak at the point of execution, but when the due time arrives there is no mobilization phase, which is exactly why the waiting is safe to trust. The gods have always known all 3 clauses and tremble accordingly; man is still figuring it out. And in the season of the feasts, 2026, the sky drew the doctrine to the day: for 48 days only Righteousness — Tzedek — and the Sword stood above the line, the 3rd such season since 1900; the Sword's first errand above the line was the Manger; the old knife-heaven halted and withdrew below; Justice herself stayed bowed through the whole season of the open door — and rises at the Feast of Dedication.
The exposition
“I will repay” — 3 clauses
Clause 1 — Vengeance is a possession, not a project.
"To me belongeth vengeance." The verb is ownership. That is why the New Testament fastens the enemy-feeding command directly to this verse: "avenge not yourselves… for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him" (Rom 12:19-20). The saints can set the table for their enemies precisely because the case is not theirs to prosecute — releasing the file is not weakness; it is recognizing the title deed. And the Song of Moses keeps the mercy inside the vengeance chapter itself: "the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants" (32:36); "rejoice, O ye nations, with his people" (32:43). The Owner of vengeance is the same One whose sword's first errand, this season, was the Manger. 16
Clause 2 — The delay is the kindness.
One sentence of the Lord's holds the whole tension: "shall not God avenge his own elect… though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily" (Luke 18:7-8). Long-bearing and speed, both promised, no contradiction. Peter names the motive of the interval: "the Lord is not slack… but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish" (2 Pet 3:9). Paul names what the patience is made of: "the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance" (Rom 2:4). Isaiah names the purpose of the waiting itself: "therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be graciousunto you" (Isa 30:18). The long patience was an intentional kindness — the door held open on purpose, at cost, for the ones still on the road. 2
Clause 3 — Execution needs no logistics.
Man plans extensively because man is weak at the point of execution. God's restraint is never a supply-chain problem: "he spake, and it was done" (Ps 33:9); "I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it" (Isa 46:11); "I the LORD will hasten it in his time" (Isa 60:22); "I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness" (Mal 3:5). When the due time of Deut 32:35 arrives there is no mobilization phase — which is exactly why the waiting is safe to trust: nothing is being prepared, because nothing needs to be. The whetted sword (32:41) is readiness, not countdown. Whetted is not swung. 13

"The devils also believe, and tremble" (Jas 2:19). The powers have never doubted the Owner's title or His same-day capacity — the measured conduct of every summoned name in this corpus's docket is the behavior of defendants who do not dispute the court. It is man who reads the delay as absence, the patience as weakness, the withheld sword as a missing one. The gods have no such illusions. And the audit's last line is its verdict: Dike — Justice herself — stays bowed below the line through the entire season of the open door, rising slowly all autumn, and crosses above the ecliptic only in the Dec 16-20 window — which, on the house full-moon reckoning, spans Kislev 25: the Feast of Dedication, the anniversary of the ivy-defiled altar made clean. Justice kneels through the whole season of mercy and stands up at Hanukkah. "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?" (Job 38:31). In Hebrew the hunter is KesilKesil (כסיל): the Hebrew name of Orion — literally 'the fool' (Job 9:9; 38:31; Amos 5:8). The old tradition reads the constellation as Nimrod, the rebel hunter, bound in the heavens; his 'bands' are the belt, and Job's question about loosing them expects the answer: not thou. — "the fool" — and the old tradition reads him as Nimrod, the rebel hunter, bound in the sky; the whirlwind's question has a fixed answer: not thou. No creature looses that belt. And yet the registry holds one name with mythic standing over the hunter's body — 105 Artemis, the huntress who in the old tellings slew Orion himself — and in this season the Owner walks her straight through him. Her orbital period is ~1,330-1,335 days — the top of that range is Daniel 12:12's own number: "Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days." Three laps make an 11-year rung; and the rungs have been walking her toward the belt for 44 years: 9.1° off in 1982, 6.2° in 1993, 3.4° in 2004, 1.1° in 2015 — and in 2026 she arrives. The deep record sharpens it. Scanned across the full usable ephemeris (1600-2026, honoring this house's pre-1600 reliability fence), her belt crossings come in 2 families: a March family on a ~117-year beat — 1603, 1614, 1731, 1848, 1965 — and an October family on a ~351-year beat, 3 × 117: Oct 27, 1675 → Oct 27, 2026. The last cut of any kind was March 1965; the last cut in the feast season was 351 years ago, on the same civil date. If the loosed belt drops the hunter's garment, the reading this house carries — fenced below — is the plain Greek of what happens when a covering falls: apokalypsis. Unveiling. The month when all bow is Elul.
"From one new moon to another… shall all flesh come to worship before me" (Isa 66:23). It has always seemed logical to this house that the figure of that month is ElulElul: the month of Teshuvah — return — when 'the King is in the field.' On the house reckoning, Elul 2026 ran Aug 28 to Sept 26, and the sky's great descent below the line completed within it. — Teshuvah season, the King in the field. And in Elul 2026 the sky performed the figure: the herald descended (Elul 19-21), the old knife-heaven halted below the line (Elul 15), the daughters' court — Order, Justice, Peace — lay bowed, and the descent completed leaving only Righteousness and the Sword standing above. The patience is the point, and it is almost over being misread.
God can do in short order what needs to be done — the whole third clause — and therefore every day the sword rests at the Manger is a day chosen, not a day lost. His long patience was an intentional kindness. The gods know this and govern themselves accordingly before the court; man is still figuring it out, and this season's sky was drawn plainly enough for man to catch up: the Sword visible, at rest, at the Crib; Justice rising on the calendar of the cleansed altar; the door open the whole way. Abide the fullness of the times. The Owner is neither slow nor unarmed — He is kind.

✧Polyhymnia — the Muse of sacred hymns — holds the thinnest standing margin of the season: +0.65° above the line. Of all the daughters, the hymn barely stands — but stands. Praise keeps its feet by a fraction of a degree, which is about how praise usually keeps its feet.
✧Kalliope is the Muse of epic — and the pagan canon's first word is 'wrath': 'Sing, O Muse, the wrath of Achilles.' The Muse whose whole office opened with a wrath-song stands 0.8° from the gate where the LORD's Sword rose above the line. Memorize the title deed as one unit.
Deut 32:35 + Rom 12:19-21, together, by heart. The command to feed your enemy is fastened to the ownership clause — you can release the case because the Owner holds it. One week, one passage.
Release one case this month.
Name one person you have been quietly prosecuting. 'If thine enemy hunger, feed him' (Rom 12:20) — one concrete kindness, delivered, with the file handed over to its Owner. This is not sentiment; it is jurisdiction.
Pray Luke 18 like the widow.
'Cry day and night unto him' — the bearing-long and the avenging-speedily are both promised to the persistent. Pick the injustice that grieves you most and bring it daily, without taking the sword back.

'Fret not thyself because of evildoers… Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him.' Read the whole psalm once this week. The patience you are asked to keep is a copy of the patience that is keeping you.
The honest verdict: The Scripture exposition stands on its own texts and needs no sky. The kinematics — the window, its 3-epochs-since-1900 rarity, the Sword's ascent and Manger transit, the audit of the daughters, Justice's rise at the Dedication — are computed and checkable to the day, with base rates and the LATER naming fence stated once each. The Fall-2025 reading, the Elul reading, and the figure itself are conviction, fenced as such. What is not fenced, because it is statute: the title deed. Vengeance is His. It always was.

Dike — Justice — stays bowed below the ecliptic through the entire festal season, rising slowly all autumn (−3.9° at the Fast, −1.7° by mid-November) and crossing above the line in the Dec 16-20 window. On the house full-moon reckoning, Kislev 1 opens at the full moon of Nov 24, placing Kislev 25 — the Feast of Dedication, the anniversary of the cleansed and rededicated altar — on Dec 18-19: inside Justice's rising window. She bows through the whole season of the open door and stands up at Hanukkah, on the feast that remembers the ivy-defiled altar made clean.
'And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.' The reading fenced in this exhibit places the annual figure of this in Elul, the Teshuvah month when the King is in the field — and notes that in Elul 2026 the sky performed the figure: by the month's third week the herald had descended, the old sky-father had halted below the line, and the descent completed leaving only Righteousness and the Sword standing.

The 44-year ladder, computed as closest approach to the belt line each 11-year October return: 9.1° (1982), 6.2° (1993), 3.4° (2004), 1.1° (2015), crossing at 0.13° (Oct 27, 2026, between Alnilam and Alnitak), 2.6° receding (2037). Her ~1,330-1,335-day period — the top of the range is Daniel 12:12's waiting-blessing number — makes 3 laps ≈ 10.9 years, and the shortfall against 11 is the creep that walks her one rung closer each return. Her 21.5° inclination is the ticket that reaches Orion's latitudes at all. The deep scan (1600-2026, 4-day step, star positions precessed per epoch, pre-1600 excluded per the house reliability fence) finds all prior crossings: a March family at ~117-year intervals (1603, 1614, 1731, 1848, 1965) and an October family at ~351 years (3 × 117): Oct 27, 1675 — the same civil date as 2026's cut. The 1675 cut is carried at TWO-WITNESS grade: cross-checked against Stellarium's independent propagation at the exact epoch 1675-Oct-13 07:12 UT, the two engines agree to ~2° after 351 years (Stellarium of-date RA 5h17m, Dec −0°35'; Horizons of-date RA 5h24m, Dec +0°20') — both placing her at the belt's western doorstep, at belt declination, 2 weeks before the cut. (Frame trap noted for future auditors: Horizons defaults to J2000 while Stellarium panels display of-date; compare like to like.) The most recent full autumn-entry passage before the modern era was 1730-31 — torso in Sept 1730, belt cut Mar 4, 1731, a wintering passage of the March family, also confirmed in both engines. Noted in passing: the Royal Observatory at Greenwich was founded in the summer of 1675, weeks before that previous October cut — the house built to watch the sky went up just in time to miss it; this one arrives with the sky checkable in every pocket.
